Halloween Rules

I'm working on this this afternoon -

The weekend

We had a full weekend. Maggie worked, Ben had a birthday party to attend and Phil and I attended Kelowna's first Le Diner Blanc (sp) It was a blast! We went with 4 other couples. We had to dress in white, eat on white plates and have white linens. I hope we are invited back next year.

Emma was the only not busy this weekend - that's a first:) I believe she is getting a wee bit bored.SHe is back at it this week with her voice lessons and theory starting tomorrow.

On the running front Phil and I have signed up for the Rockin Roll Half in Vegas Dec 2nd--- woot woot. Training starts on the 16th - it will be good to have a goal.

On the stitching front- I got nothing! I am planning to re watch Downton Abby today so maybe I will get something done to post tomorrow...

The new school year...

 It's the Fall,it's the Fall,it's the Fall! The new school year is sorted and I am exhausted!Ben managed to get the BEST grade six teach who is well aware of his "extras" and we are so pleased. Emma has managed to get into the high performance program at OKM- we are thrilled as well. Mags is already working on pre calculus homework and is thrilled to have a spare this year.

On the Jill front- work has been NUTS! It's good to be busy but crazy busy is not fun! I have having trouble with my migraines but that's just stress. I need to start stitching again as that helps.

Today is full of running shoe buying for Ben, laundry and general kp. Phil,myself and six other couples are attending the first "Le dinner blanc" in Kelowna. It should be great fun! Phil has a vest and bow tie - I'll take a lot of pictures.

did not get to P90 x and wow so much to report...

WOW! Too long between posts - no excuse just needed a break

SO much has happened this summer. I was cast in a KAS show - yes me-CRAZY! Phil and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary yesterday. CRAZY! We are going to running the Las Vegas half Dec 2nd as our present to each other. CRAZY! Emma was cast in two productions and will be taking the RENT class. Ben is taking James and the Giant Peach so that should be fun.

P90x starts Thursday... why... I just need something to boot me in the butt. I can travel with it well here we go.

I have had a slump of depression which just make me want to eat potato chips and drink wine. Not good for my butt  and liver so P90 it is. I would start tomorrow but I am playing 18 holes of golf with my Carolyn. I think I will be bagged when I'm done.

I still have not done a lot of stitching but it's coming... I promised myself to take the time here..

Yes it has been a crazy spring and all I can say is WOW. We have had so much happen that it was too much to write. I have not been running, rambling or using my needle much as time for me has been at a stand still.

Emma has been busy doing the acting thing, Ben has been gaming and TWDing and Mags has a new part time job. Phil is working on three jobs at the moment and I'm crazy as usual at the Sbux. I can't believe it's been almost three months since a post and I am regretful. I just let life get away from me.

I have continued my Pinterest pursuit and love having followers. I enjoy it and need to update my blog when I find something funny or interesting.

I have hardly made it to yoga and running is not happening- this changes tomorrow. Do you ever feel you just lose yourself and not make time for the things that make you healthy- I have done that... NOT GOOD.

Today is my last day...

I have many things planned for today and we shall see how much actually gets accomplished. Ben and I are cleaning his man cave. I am hoping to hear back from his tutor today to set up a schedule for him. I have back to school laundry to do and work clothes of course...

My friend Delphine is bringing the "new"Footloose movie over at 2pm to watch on the big screen downstairs (laundry will be done then) I'm looking forward to watching the movie. I hope to do a little stitching then too.

I had a migraine Friday and the lingers of one since then so no yoga for me and stitching has come to a slow down... I finally took two Aleve today and hopefully it will finally lift so I can be super productive today. We had dinner at the Keg last night and I took half home so I just finished the leftovers - I'm now full of protein and raring to go ( not really lol) I am hoping for pictures to post tonight so stay tuned...

I'm on vacation!

I'm on vacation and it's a staycation and it's been wonderful. The kids are on their second week of spring break and we have been relaxing...

Emma is in the middle of Evita rehearsals and also is making bees for the Winnie thePooh class she is helping out with. I have a picture of Quaker Christmas on Facebook but being the computer genius I am not am unable to post it here uuurrrrgggghhhh! 

I am knee deep in LOVING PINTEREST!!!! It is addicting and very very cool.

Phil and I have been doing hot yoga and loving it. Life is just good ... we are lucky!

I hate to not be popular but I love this time change... It puts a "spring" in my step and I feel chipper. Crazy I know... oh well...

On the agenda today is stitching, laundry, hot yoga and what I like to call "Steakhouse Night"- we basically cook everything we would get at the Keg without the very large bill at the end. It will be easy to organize as hot yoga is at 4:00pm and Emma needs to be picked up from Evita rehearsal at 6:00pm.

On the laundry front- I need to pack up the winter wintery clothes and bring out some spring ones. I have lost 70 pounds since last January( which I plan NEVER to find again...) and I need to take stock in what I have so I can plan for summer--- YAY!

I purchased a year pass to the Kelowna Hot Yoga Studio and am enjoying it when I can get there. It is Spring Break here so I am hoping we can get Ben to TWD during the day so I can hit Hot Yoga. Phil is busy working which I am not at all complaining about because it has been a little slow since Christmas.

On the stitching front I have made some progress on Quaker Christmas - there is a little more the iphone is updating so I am unable to post a pic.

I hope to get some more done today but we shall see. We have friends of Emma's sleeping over and activities to run various children to.

It's just been one of those weeks...

I have been suffering from a cluster of migraines which has not been fun. Just when I think it's beat it's not... UGH! I haven't put in a single stitch. I hope to change that today as Ben has TWD and I have a stitch lunch date with the Angels.

The kids are busy as usual. Emma has KAS' Les Mis this week. I hope after this she has scheduled herself a bit of a break but who really know with that girl. Mags is off to the Grad fashion tonight and Ben has training. I am hoping to get some yoga in but Phil is working really weird hours this week. They are renovating the big liquor store here (of course while still being opening)so he goes off early in the am, comes home for a bit in the afternoon and is back at it at night.

Work is good. Not as busy as we would hope but good. We've hired 4 new partners which is exciting and will help cover the illness- there sure has been a lot of it... I'm off today to training a littler before I go to D's to stitch.

What I got up to on the weekend

I stitched and was completely lazy all day Sunday. I've been watching "Charmed" on NetFlix - much to the mocking of my family. -I am finding the hot yoga to be kicking my butt in a good way but butt kicking,it makes me tired hence the lazy stitching day. I took my second tap class last night and that was fun. It should be something everyone tries. So much fun.

Finally a stitching post...

I have been watching "Charmed" on NetFlix and working on "Halloween Rules" It is coming along:) I also have made some progress on Quaker Christmas. It is slowly coming along- the project is HUGE. It is a fun stitch. I haven't done a whole lot on the exercise front except hot yoga Thursday. It's been a crazy week- when is it not...
Emma's been moved up to the adults ens in Evita so we begin again with rehearsals and such...

Tomorrow is a long run and maybe yoga again depending on the tiredness factor.

Migraines are not fun!

I have had a migraine for 6 days and today I am trying mind over matter. I believe a lifestyle change may be in order. More exercise, better diet  and less work stress --- and sleep would be nice.

I am making strides in the exercise front and I have been doing yoga. It is helping but when you have a headache you really don't want to go to yoga... and the cycle continues. I must start running again as that does help as well. The weather here has been crapping which hasn't help ... oh would you look at me whine!

Tonight we head to Nunsense at Kelowna Actors Studio. Phil and I saw it on opening night. SO FUNNY. They have a very talented group of ladies there. Emma is Sister Mary Emma of the lighting booth... She is super stoked as she is been moved up to the Adults Ens in Evita. Yay! She has been hoping for this. We are off to buy tap shoes today for our tap class Monday. Yes we are both taking this class as they needed six to take the class lol... the things I do for that child...

On the stitching front I have not done a whole lot... I am sorry to report the headache has slowed down the progress. Sorry no pictures today... I did get a little done on Quaker Christmas. I am hoping to work on Halloween Rules this afternoon... we shall see...

All kinds of things on a Sunday morning...

I am happy to report I have not been a slug this week on the exercise and stitching front. I went to hot yoga twice so far with a plan to go this afternoon. I managed to get Maggie and her boyfriend Erik to go with me and Phil has agreed to go this afternoon with the three of us. Phil started TWD with Ben yesterday so we are all on a roll...

On the stitching front I have made progress on "Halloween Rules" I must confess that I have been watching "Charmed on Netflix while stitching. I have been in enjoying the mindlessness of it ...I have also posted a sideways picture of "Yudetide" only because I can't seem to figure my computer out today - never fear it's just the headache meds...It's my purse project and it's coming along . I am suppose to run today but they may not work as I am not myself. Here is a another sideways picture of the Disney medals

Man Cold

I found it ! I found it!

Part of the reason I did not get a whole lot of stitching done yesterday was I could not find my Halloween Rules patterns. This was driving me crazy... Ok the lack of stitching may have also been because of the eating and wine drinking but the misplaced patterns did weigh on my mind. This of course lead to my distracting everyone else with my concerns as to where these patterns were.... I am happy report that I have found them. They were stashed in a "clean up" by the fam in which they were stuck in a drawer where one would never put think to look.We refer this am a MmmJohnnying... enough said.

I will be working on Halloween Rules tonight YAY

I often start a post by apologizing for my complete lack of attention to the blog... today is no different. I have been busy and completely over booked myself this past two weeks. I am hoping next week goes a bit better. If not live and learn.

The Angels came for a day of stitching yesterday and I didn't get a whole lot done ... here's a picture. I got a dismal amount done on Quaker Christmas. I have not been stitching much as work has been a bit crazy and I haven't made much time for me. I am off to the double with Emma and my Mom today and may get a little done later this afternoon.

Ramblings...

We have an L in the family. Maggie got her learners today and begins her driving lessons tomorrow.
I am so pleased for her. We are celebrating her 16th at home with pasta,caesar salad and black forest cake. I am looking for to cooking it for them all.

On the stitching front I made some progress on Quaker Christmas and have been putting a stitch or two in the Halloween Quaker today. I am watching Downton Abbey and it is hard to concentrate on both ...

Home!

The plane was delayed in Seattle and I am so glad to be home now. I have four days off in which I am going to relax and rest. I also am going to unpack, do laundry and watch Downton Abbey as both seasons came while we were away. I also need to organize the three stitching projects I am determined to finish this year. I also would like to sort some clothes out for Value Village. I also would like to try some new recipes out that are quick and kid doable so I am not always cooking. LOL doesn't read very relaxing does it?

On the organization front, one of my New Year's Resolutions was to unpack my garage from our reno. I vowed  to unpack one box a day until they were all unpacked or thrown out. I know there is all kinds of goodies in there and it's time to get organized.

Today will consist visiting with my good friend Todd and some of what is stated above. I have stitching with the Angels tonight so at least I can put needle to cloth at some point today.

no stitching just running...

Well it's done! Phil and I ran the Disney marathon on Sunday. The goal was for both of us to finish and we did. We have been in Florida for six days now and I am ready for home. Ben is sad to be leaving but I know once he gets back to his own bed he will be happy. I'm exhausted. It's been a great trip! Isn't that how you should feel when you are leaving Disney World? I have got a dismal amount of stitching done and may do some on the plane or I may just sleep we shall see.
